‘THE WAY BEYOND ART’ EXHIBITION DESIGN
by Future Anecdotes Istanbul
Location: Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, Netherlands
Team: Can Altay + Asli Altay + Seda Oznal + Adnan Faysal Altunbozar + Metincan Güzel + Arda Karaburçak + Ezgi Mutluer
(Personally participated in the research (Architectural Typologies Inventory), spatial analyzes, model making and developing initial design concepts)
Description: The project aims to rethink the modern fundamentals of the museum and takes a radical stand against the conventional approach, in relation to diverse disciplines and scales. This is established through a catalog of triggers and actions that may not be encountered in the traditional museum praxis. These triggers (designed structures) and actions (user interactions) come after compiling an extensive inventory of architectural typologies and exposure to the most basic form-function relationships. As a result, the project is a physical and applicable manifestation of speculation, questioning the norms for dynamic contemporary societies.
